See It In Action
Do you have a 3D printer and want to build your own G1000 but skip the complex electronics?
The G1000 PIY Kit gives you the best of both worlds: fully assembled PCBs shipped to your door, and complete 3D print files so you can print the housing, add an LCD screen, and assemble it yourself.
What you'll get:
→ Step-by-step instructions on how to print and assemble the parts.
→ Pre-Assembled & Tested PCBs, professionally built and read to drop in.
→ Video Instructions + Hardware list (screws and LCD, etc.) so you can build confidently.
Great for makers, sim enthusiasts, and student pilots who have a capable 3D printer (we use Bambu printers with AMS) who want to build it, not just buy it.
Includes:
- 3D print STL files and Bambu studio project files
- Fully assembled PCBs (tested + firmware flashed)
- List of LCD screen, power supply, and hardware (screws / threaded inserts, etc)
- Build videos and assembly instructions
*Note: This kit does not include the LCD screen. We'll provide an amazon link to the exact LCD we use in our complete kit.
You'll need a printer with at least 250mm x 200mm x 170mm build volume. If printing the stand, it is the largest piece at 194mm x 248mm x 170mm. For panel mounting, the largest piece to print is 239 mm x 136mm x 73mm.
International orders may be subject to import duties and VAT, which are either assessed by local customs or may be included at checkout (for some locations).

What simulators are supported?
Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 and 2024 on Windows, and X-Plane 12 on Windows and macOS. No additional software like MobiFlight or AirManager required — our driver software handles everything.
How long does shipping take?
Each unit is handbuilt to order. Your G1000 ships in approximately 10 business days. International orders ship via DHL with rates calculated at checkout. You'll receive a tracking number when your order ships.
What is your return policy?
If your unit arrives damaged or defective, we'll make it right — replacement or full refund. Because each unit is handbuilt to order, we don't accept returns for change of mind. If you have any issue at all, contact us and we'll work it out.
Do I need any technical skills to set it up?
None. No soldering, no wiring, no coding. Install the software (takes a couple of minutes), plug in the G1000, and fly. If you can install an app, you can set this up.
Can I use this for real-world instrument training?
Yes. This is designed by an FAA CFII specifically for procedure practice and G1000 proficiency. It's an excellent tool for building the muscle memory and button logic you need before or between actual flights. Many customers use it to prepare for instrument checkrides and commercial training.
