SUPPORT & TROUBLESHOOTING
Let's get you flying again.
Most issues come down to a cable, a full re-install, or waiting for the sim to load a flight. Work through the quick checks below, and if you're still stuck, a real pilot is one message away.

Start here: 4 quick checks
These resolve the large majority of issues.
01
Use a real data cable
Many USB cables are “charge-only” and won’t carry data. Swap to a known data cable.
02
Connect directly
Plug into your computer’s USB port directly, avoiding hubs and shared peripherals.
03
Restart the sim
Fully close and reopen your flight simulator, then reconnect the panel.
04
Load a flight first
The panel connects once an aircraft is loaded and ready, not while you’re on the menus.

Troubleshooting guide
Before you reach out: what to include
The more of this you can share, the faster we can help:
- Your simulator version (MSFS 2020/2024 Store or Steam, or X-Plane 12).
- A description of the problem and which controls are affected.
- The aircraft type you were flying.
- Which troubleshooting steps you've already tried.
Log file: MSFS
Press Windows + R and enter %ProgramData%\FlightDeckConnect\logs, then attach FlightDeckConnectHID.log.
Log file: X-Plane
Find FlightDeckConnectXPlane.log inside the plugin folder and send it over if we ask for it.
